TY56H7: Tantalite-(Mn)
An extraordinary specimen. A group of two crystals, one of them twinned, dominant and bigger, showing parallel growth following the twin plane. The definition of the crystal is magnificent. Although its color is not red the analysis determined it is really Tantalite-(Mn). We’ll send a copy of the analysis to the buyer.
Also, this specimen was photographed for the ‘what’s new at St Marie 2006’ section of the magazine ‘Minéraux et Fossiles’ and appears on page 21 of number 353. We will send the purchaser a copy of the magazine.

Isolated Tantalite-(Mn) crystals with very well defined faces and edges, translucent with a very vivid red color and implanted on a Lepidolite (after Elbaite) crystal with a fibrous aspect, also with Feldspar.
This sample has been referenced and figured as a novelty in Munich 2018, in the magazine "Le Règne Minéral" number 144, page 36

A recent find. Crystal has bigger size than usual for this uncommon species and has faces and edges quite sharp and bright and contrasting with the matrix of Quartz and Muscovite.

Very fine tabular crystals of Tarbuttite, a rare zinc hydroxy-phosphate, in limonite matrix. This specimen comes from the type locality for the species, the Kabwe mine, which worked lead, zinc and silver minerals but has been closed since 1989.

Very fine tabular crystals of Tarbuttite, a rare zinc hydroxy-phosphate, on a limonite matrix. It has a greenish coloration with light and bright tones. The specimen comes from the type locality for this species. The Kabwe mine, now closed, processed lead, zinc and silver ores.

Tabular crystals of Tarbuttite, a rare zinc hydroxy-phosphate, on a limonite matrix. They exhibit a double coloration, one lighter and the other more orange, caused by iron oxide staining. The specimen comes from the type locality for the species, the Kabwe mine, now closed, which exploited lead, zinc and silver ores.

Elongated crystals of Tarbuttite with sharp faces and edges, on a limonite matrix. Translucent, white and covered with small crystals of a second generation of lenticular crystals of the same Tarbuttite, with a color between reddish and creamy due to inclusions.
The specimen, from the type locality for the species, is accompanied by a card from the prospector and collector, Dr. K.J. Reid, in which the date of the find is handwritten and signed.

TXA66AO0: Tarbuttite
Group of Tarbuttite crystals with unusually sharp crystal forms, transparent, highly lustrous, colorless, and on a limonite matrix. Its history is fascinating since Bob Noble's label states that its origin was the 1929 Vaux expedition and that the specimen belonged to the Philadelphia Academy collection. We will send the specimen, from the type locality for the species, in its original Perky box from the Robert J. (Bob) Noble collection, which also contains the aforementioned label.

Fanlike growths of Hydroxylapatite and Hemimorphite micro-crystals on Tarbuttite partially dissolved but distinguishable on the back side of the sample due to its green color. The three co-existing species on the sample have been analyzed and we will send a copy of the analyses to the buyer.

Swirling platy growths of very sharp Tarbuttite crystals, transparent, bright and with a uniform pale green color, they are partially coated by white Hydroxylapatite and Hemimorphite micro-crystals. EM16AI1: Tarbuttite with Parascholzite-Scholzite
A very special “museum quality” sample from the type locality for the species. It is very rich in Tarbuttite crystals that are on a limonite matrix. The crystals, of great quality, are extraordinarily sharp, colorless, clear and very bright. Also on the matrix there are white, acicular Scholzite crystals and creamy colored Parascholzite crystals.

MD74AG4: Tarbuttite with Smithsonite
Fan-like sprays of Tarbuttite crystals with very acute terminations, very well defined faces and edges and on matrix, with violet botryoidal Smithsonite. The sample, very esthetic and of a great quality for the species, is from the Desmond Sacco collection whose label we’ll send to the buyer.
This specimen has been photographed and published as a reference for the Tarbuttite species in the magazine ‘Lapis‘ number 04/2021, page 11 as well as in the magazine ‘Paragénesis’, number 01/2018, page 105

TY48AL4: Tellurite with Quartz
Tellurite crystals on matrix, some of them with well defined faces and edges and good terminations, something rare in this species, not frequent in collections. The crystals, translucent, have an intense creamy color and good luster, and are implanted on matrix, with Quartz.
The specimen, which comes from Scott J. Williams, was later in the collection of V.J. Hoffmann. Victor J. Hoffmann and John S. White were very close friends while both were graduate students in geology at the University of Arizona. Between the years of 1960 and 1962 they formed a mineral business which was named Delmann Minerals. We will send the specimen with the two supporting labels.

TK26J1: Tellurite with Quartz
Excellent miniature of this rare tellurium oxide. It is in groups of deep yellow acicular crystals in vugs on a Quartz matrix.
We will send the label of the sample, from Scott Williams Mineral Company, Scottsdale, Arizona, to the buyer.

Specimen size: 2.9 × 3.1 × 2.4 cm = 1.14” × 1.22” × 0.94”

NP66AN0: Tellurium with Quartz
Native Tellurium crystals, the best known for this species, have developed in well-formed groups, with sharp crystal forms and larger than usual. The results of the analyses, which will be provided to the buyer, define the mineral as pure native Tellurium. The locality of origin is also interesting, little known to most mineralogists.

TM8H9: Tellurium with Quartz
The crystals on a Quartz matrix are very defined, which is really rare for this native element. Even with its small size the sample is notable because it is a very, very rare species and its excellent crystallization. Chemical analysis revealed that the mineral is pure native Tellurium.
