Floater group of Sphalerite crystals, translucent and of a very uniform honey color, with smooth faces corresponding to the tetrahedron and partially coated by a multitude of very sharp and outlined Dolomite crystals, creating a beautiful color contrast. A classic of Cantabrian mining from Las Mánforas, located at a spectacular site next to Picos de Europa National Park.

Polycrystalline growths with complex forms, with sharp edges and faces, slightly curved, transparent, very lustrous, with deep and uniform honey-brown color. This piece comes from some small artisanal finds that were made after the mine closed. There is currently no access to the galleries.

SV160NNP: Sphalerite with Dolomite
Polycrystalline growth of complex Sphalerite crystals with curvatures and with smooth tetrahedron forms. The crystals, between transparent and translucent, have a dense, deep and uniform caramel color and grew on a matrix of sharp white Dolomite crystals. From a classic Spanish mine for Sphalerite located in a spectacular setting next to Los Picos de Europa National Park, and which has been inaccessible for many years as the galleries were flooded.

Floater group of Sphalerite crystals, translucent and of a very deep and uniform honey color, with faces that show polycrystalline growths, partially covered by a multitude of very sharp and profiled Dolomite crystals that give a nice color contrast. A classic of Cantabrian mining from Las Mánforas, at a spectacular location next to the Picos de Europa National Park.

Group of very sharp Sphalerite crystals with very well defined crystal forms, between translucent and transparent, with good luster and an intense honey color. On matrix, with white scalenohedral Dolomite crystals. The specimen comes from the collection of Santiago Jiménez who, especially in the 1980s and 90s, assembled an excellent collection with a very good representation of the mineralogy of northern Spain.

Aggregate of complex Sphalerite crystals, some with smooth faces and others with echeloned forms due to parallel growth. The crystals, partially coated by small white rhombohedral Dolomite crystals, are translucent, very bright and have a uniform honey color. A Spanish classic.

Elegant, with good definition of the main crystal, an undamaged floater. A great choice by Antonino Bueno to have it in his collection. With the very white Dolomite providing contrast, it reminds us of how splendid a metallic sulfide can be. We will give Antonino's original label to the buyer.
