TB97Q3: Rhodochrosite with Manganite
Group of scalenohedral crystal with the exceptional deep red color that has made the Kuruman Rhodochrosite famous. The crystals are very bright and are on Manganite matrix. The sample is from the well known find of 1978.

TK98Q3: Rhodochrosite with Manganite
The crystals of the piece have a very uncommon habit, formed of subparallel polycrystalline aggregates with very well marked color zoning with a clearer strip in the center. They are on Manganite matrix. The sample is from the well known find of 1978.

MB68W9: Rhodochrosite with Natrolite, Aegirine and amphibole
Rhodochrosite crystals with very well defined faces and edges and intense pink color, with transparent colorless crystals of Natrolite and on a not determined amphibole matrix, with Aegirine. Different than usual.
This specimen was photographed and published as a novelty at the 2012 Munich Show in the magazine ‘Le Règne Minéral’ number 108, page 39

MX49AJ1: Rhodochrosite with Pyrite
Druse with Rhodochrosite crystals formed by a prism with rhombohedral terminal faces and where two different growth phases can be clearly seen, an inner first one (perhaps Calcite further replaced by Rhodochrosite) that is translucent and with a more intense color, and a second one with a lighter pink color. The sample, from a classic US locality, shows on its lower edge small Pyrite crystals.

Rhombohedral crystals with a very well marked color zoning, deeper in the central area of each crystal. The matrix of Pyrite crystals makes the piece especially esthetic.

Rosette aggregates of flat rhombohedral Rhodochrosite crystals. They are bright with an intense and uniform pink color, and are on matrix with Quartz, small twinned Sphalerite crystals and octahedral Pyrite crystals.

TC260EFB: Rhodochrosite with Quartz
Spheroidal growths of very lustrous rhombohedral Rhodochrosite microcrystals with an intense and uniform pink color, on matrix, with small Quartz crystals. Some similar specimens, with paler tones and from the same mine and period, were identified as manganese-bearing calcites, so we have had these with a more intense tone analyzed, and they turned out to be true rhodochrosites. We will send a copy of this new analysis to the buyer.

Very sharp rhombohedral Rhodochrosite crystals with very marked polycrystalline growths on the surface of the faces, brighter and more vivid pink than usual in specimens from this locality. On matriz, with small Quartz crystals. A fine miniature.

SV3140EJK: Rhodochrosite with Quartz
A peculiar discovery from 2021 in the Austria Duvas Mine, where these rhodochrosites appeared in rosette shapes associated with Quartz and minor Sphalerite. Their striking resemblance to the rhodochrosites from Cavnic, Romania, is curious to the extent that at mineral shows, Romanian dealers seeking pieces for their home market sometimes get confused and believe that they are from their own country. In any case, they are truly pretty.

Two rhombohedral crystals with very sharp faces and edges on a white matrix of small Quartz crystals. Color is good for the locality which we must point out is historic.

TJ66AJ9: Rhodochrosite with Quartz
Aggregates on a matrix with small Quartz crystals of sharp rhombohedral crystals with polycrystalline surfaces, bright and with a very intense and vivid pink color and partially coated, as is also the matrix, by small Quartz crystals. The sample is from a recent find very deep in the Manuelita mine that has offered samples of better quality that those previously known.

Irregular Rhodochrosite growths on a microcrystalline Quartz matrix. The Rhodochrosite is forming very well defined coralloid and columnar growths and has a delicate pink color and silky luster. The sample is from a not well known locality.

Spheroidal aggregates of rhombohedral microcrystals of Rhodochrosite that coat a druse of water-clear and very lustrous Quartz crystals. The specimen came from Ferat Voca, a former worker in this classic mine.

EAP47AN8: Rhodochrosite with Quartz
Coralloidal growths of very lustrous rhombohedral Rhodochrosite microcrystals with an intense and uniform pink color, on matrix, with small Quartz crystals. Similar specimens, paler in color, were found in the same mine and time period, which turned out to be manganese-rich calcites, while these specimens with a more intense hue have turned out on analysis to be authentic rhodochrosites. We will send a copy of this new analysis to the buyer.

TFA47AN5: Rhodochrosite with Quartz
Spheroidal growths of very lustrous rhombohedral Rhodochrosite microcrystals with an intense and uniform pink color, on matrix, with small Quartz crystals. Interestingly, from this same mine and time period, similar but paler colored specimens were found that turned out to be manganese-bearing calcites, whereas these more intensely colored specimens turned out on analysis to be true rhodochrosites. We will send a copy of this new analysis to the buyer.
