TC28W4: Rhodochrosite
Aggregate of very acute scalenohedral crystals. They are translucent, with a color between red and mauve, very intense, deep and uniform, and are on a matrix of manganese oxides. The locality is not well known for good collection samples.

EV78X6: Rhodochrosite
Druse of crystals that have an uncommon shape for Rhodochrosite, with very elongated prism faces and very flattened rhombohedral terminations. They have a very deep and intense color and are on a matrix of manganese oxides. A lost locality from which it is currently very difficult to obtain good samples.
The specimen has been reviewed, photographed and published in the magazine ‘Rivista Mineralogica Italiana’ on page 214 in number 2013/3

Classic Rhodochrosite specimen from the Poudrette quarry, showing a well developed rhombohedral crystal in the lower part and other very flattened crystals due to the presence of a very prominent pinacoidal face.

Botryoidal aggregate, on matrix, of lenticular Rhodochrosite crystals that are translucent and have a very deep and uniform color. The sample is from a German locality considered as a classic for the species. As is the case with so many specimens in this collection, the sample is of great quality for the locality.

RX47T5: Rhodochrosite
Groups of very acute scalenohedral crystals, some of them doubly terminated, with curvatures on the faces and edges. They are transparent, have a deep red color and are on a limonite matrix. A sample from one of the great classic localities for the species.

TH52AH6: Rhodochrosite after Serandite with Analcime and Aegirine
Perimorphs of Rhodochrosite microcrystals, with a pinkish color and brownish shades, that coat a group of elongated Serandite crystals with an intense pink color, with small black and acicular Aegirine crystals and poorly developed white Analcime crystals. Unusual, even considering that the samples from this locality are all mostly unusual.

TRL56AO0: Rhodochrosite and Sphalerite
Globular growths of Rhodochrosite, on matrix, with a silky luster and an intense reddish pink color. It is associated with black Sphalerite in lamellar crystals. The specimen comes from a classic Japanese deposit that, like many others in that country, was scarcely disclosed until its rhodochrosites became famous when they reached the international market.

Botryoidal Rhodochrosite growths, with good luster and an intense pink color, partially covering a stalagmitic growth of Hisingerite. We will ship the piece in its original Perky box from the Robert J. Noble collection, which also contains the label, which shows that it was previously in the Melanson collection.

The beautiful world of nature never ceases to surprise me. The combination of pink Rhodochrosite and the golden Pyrite on which it sits looks like some form of offering. With the extra features of bevelled edges and the light color zoning of the Rhodochrosite make, especially given its simplicity, this one even more beautiful.

Spheroidal aggregates of lenticular crystals with an intense pink color, contrast with the white Quartz matrix. The Color and brightness are better than usual in the samples from this historical mine.

MA16F0: Rhodochrosite on Quartz
The deep pink color of these sprays is very noticeable. The crystals are flattened rhombohedra that have a lenticular look. The base of small crystals of Quartz contrasts neatly with the Rhodochrosite.

TR57H7: Rhodochrosite on Quartz
A spheroidal growth of rhombohedral, very flat, crystals that have curved faces and edges. The group is deep pink and contrasts with a thin matrix of Quartz crystals. Very esthetic.

CT52D6: Rhodochrosite stalactite
As you can see in the photo this stalactite of Rhodochrosite has been polished at the bottom. In this case we feel that this helps one appreciate the beauty of its interior. Apart from the length, the fact that there are two stalactites, their great color and form means that we have decided to publish this specimen, even though it does not match our normal criteria for collectible specimens. It has a special quality that we think would make it of interest to anyone who collects minerals.

EZ26AA4: Rhodochrosite with Alabandite
Aggregates of very sharp rhombohedral Rhodochrosite crystals. They are bright, have a very intense, vivid and uniform pink color and are on matrix, with Alabandite and Calcite. Their crystal size, color and general esthetic aspect allow us to place it among the best never found Rhodochrosites from this classic locality very well known for its tellurides.

Excellent miniature. Group of rhombohedral Rhodochrosite crystals, one of them dominant, with good color and luster for this locality. With small white Analcime crystals and an Aegirine crystal centered in one face of the main Rhodochrosite crystal.
