XM295TBE: Quartz with Pyrite
Stellate druse formed of Quartz crystals, most of them with a highly developed prism although much less developed rhombohedral terminations. A second generation of finer Quartz crystals with whiter tones adorns the center of the piece as a "pompom". Small randomly scattered aggregates of Calcite crystals complete the specimen, which comes from the Ferat Voca collection.

JFD191AP3: Quartz with Pyrite and Muscovite
It's a little love of mine, this piece. The specimen is a floater, it has no damage, everything complete, and everything, both Quartz and Pyrite and even the Muscovite, has quality. As I said, I feel a little love for it.

SV3640EZT: Quartz with Quartz after Fluorite
An odd piece from Sidi Rahal: Large, with a pretty color and in good condition, with two peculiarities: small crystals that form elongated groups of stalactitic aspect, not much seen before in Sidi Rahal, and also, the presence of a pseudomorph of Quartz after a large Fluorite crystal. It does not stand out especially because it is on the side of the specimen and is very flat, but there it is. A double rarity from a locality that already had a tendency to yield peculiar quartzes.

JFD101AO2: Quartz with Siderite
Nothing special but, as always in Panasqueira, with 'something' particular. It has the added value of having been in the private collection of a Portuguese doctor who at the time was very assiduous in trying to obtain the best pieces that came out of Panasqueira.

JFD14AN5: Quartz with Siderite
Vizille is a classic French mineral locality where many alpine quartzes and very good (and very large) siderites have been found. I kept this piece because I really liked that Quartz, alone and tall in the middle of the piece, and because the specimen was a floater, with a single large Siderite crystal in which are the Quartz and a second generation of siderites, with smaller and lighter colored crystals.
Mésage Mine, Saint-Pierre-de-Mésage, Vizille, Grenoble, Isère, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes  France (2010)

NM47AC6: Quartz with Siderite
Strongly etched Quartz crystal with very deep dissolutions forms. It is transparent and is partially coated by small Siderite crystals. Very different from the usual Quartzes from Panasqueira, if it was not for the distinctive associated Siderite, it could seem an Alpine Quartz. The upper levels of Panasqueira are currently offering surprising and pleasant novelties, with samples that are different from what is already known.

MBR87CD3: Quartz with Siderite
Druse formed by Quartz crystals, on matrix, very elongated and aerial, water-clear and perfectly sharp, with endings that show the Dauphine habit, interpenetrated by ocher-brown rhombohedral Siderite crystals forming a classic alpine association for these two species and with the Quartz clearer than is usually the case for this locality.
