Pair of two Quartz crystals, one of them complete and doubly terminated. Both Quartz crystals are very rich in Chlorite inclusions with an intense green color and they are very bright. There are some “bundle-like” Epidote aggregates, very bright and with a deep green color, attached to them .
The sample is from the Ignacio Hernández collection (num. 87) whose original label we’ll send to the buyer.

GF64Q5: Quartz with Fluor-uvite and Magnesite

Lenticular crystals of Fluor-uvite formed by a very flattened rhombohedron and a very short prism. They have intense green color and are very transparent, with small rhombohedra of Magnesite and on a very transparent crystal of Quartz. The association of Fluor-uvite and Quartz is infrequent at this locality and even more with crystals of the quality and the size of this one.

EF92AA2: Quartz with Fluorapatite inclusions and with Muscovite, Siderite and Calcite

Thin laminar Fluorapatite crystal included in a Quartz crystal partially coated by Siderite and Muscovite. Visible crystalline inclusions of Fluorapatite are very rare. In this the sample, approximately half of a crystal can be seen and it has concentric geometrical color zones with a dominant yellowish-green color.

JFD38AN7: Quartz with Fluorapatite inclusions, Cassiterite and Siderite

Quartz is ubiquitous in Panasqueira and appears there in a great diversity of habits. In this floater, recrystallized at its base, what is attractive, in addition to its transparency and perfection, is the presence of a Cassiterite crystal in the center of the piece and the numerous inclusions of Fluorapatite crystals, a very rare inclusion due to the very different formation temperatures of Quartz and Fluorapatite. Completing this combo piece is the presence of Siderite on the back. I bought it from Alberto Ledo in 2014. Alberto is part of the new generation of Portuguese dealers who go often to the mine and sometimes get great specimens from there.

WRA96CD2: Quartz with Fluorapatite, Siderite and Pyrite

Well-developed Quartz crystal, translucent and shiny, coated with shiny and bluish Fluorapatite crystals; with Siderite and a coating of small Pyrite crystals on the back. Noteworthy, in addition to its beauty, are the Fluorapatite inclusions inside the Quartz crystal, which, due to their partial fusion at the Quartz formation temperature, have a very unusual appearance. Like all specimens in Raúl Sanabria's collection, it was chosen with great care, always aiming to have something special that sets it apart.

This specimen comes from the pockets of the granite area of El Berrueco (Madrid). A big Quartz crystal partially covered by a thin layer of colorless but very bright and well defined Fluorapophyllite-(K) crystals. There are small and isolated generations of Fluorapophyllite crystals on the Quartz pyramid faces not covered by Fluorapophyllite-(K).

A curious and aesthetic specimen formed by two recrystallized Quartz crystals in an acrobatic position, with one resting horizontally on the first in a vertical position. Both partially covered by lilac Fluorite cubic crystals that vary from light to intense tones, and greenish Chlorite, completing a very unusual specimen from the Panasqueira mines.

N16RE6: Quartz with Goethite inclusions

I will get sentimental about this one. While it is not a top quality specimen (I don’t want to fool anyone into thinking it is) it was one of the first that I added to my collection. Recently I got a better example, so I have decided to sell this one - with the original label from my collection: number F-33. I bought it during a trip to Morocco with my brother in 1974, when I did not even know what the mineral included in the Quartz was. The great collector from Barcelona, Joaquín Folch, told me that, based on the pleiocrism, they are crystals of Goethite. Anyway, apart from the history, I have always liked this one and I still think that the spray of Baryte and blobs of Quartz at the rear make it neat. As you would expect, we will send my label to the person that buys this.

Another sample with great impact, a group of clear Quartz crystals with reddish zones due to Hematite inclusions and partially coated by rosette aggregates (iron rose variety) of laminar Hematite crystals and a group of dipyramidal Helvine crystals. The Helvine, from the East Ujimqin Banner area and not from the classic Huanggang mine but from the Qagan Obo deposit, has been analyzed and we will send a copy of the analysis to the buyer.

Single crystal of Quartz, very large and also very special for two reasons: it comes from a deposit from which only a few pieces are known and the Hematite inclusions give it a very attractive reddish color. The presence of small Hematite iron roses also completes its appeal.

A novelty at Tucson 2017. Translucent quartz crystals that are between white and colorless, with zones of intense pinkish color due to Hematite staining, and with rosette aggregates (iron rose variety) of laminar Hematite crystals. We’ll send a copy of the Hematite analysis to the buyer. Due to their similarity to the samples from the Huanggang mines they can easily be confused with those.
