Druse, on matrix, of Quartz crystals (amethyst variety) with a relatively short prism, transparent, shiny and pale violet, with a more intense tone on the edges and vertices. Of great quality for this locality in which amethysts are not so famous nor as well known as in other deposits in that area. The specimen comes from the collection of Miguel David Martínez (number 1040), whose label we will send to the buyer.

Floater aggregate of transparent and very bright Quartz (variety amethyst) crystals, with phantom growths and with a very vivid and intense color. On the back, the aggregate is completely coated by Calcite and there is a very sharp, white, Calcite scalenohedron.
An excellent sample of the F. y C. Gilbert collection whose label we’ll send to the buyer.

Group of very well defined Quartz crystals having two areas of different colors, pale lilac at the top and between colorless and slightly bluish at the base of the sample. They all are partially coated by small, very acute, white scalenohedral Calcite crystals and are with Pyrite.

These were one of the most attractive novelties at the 2004 Munich Show. This large one has perfect crystals and excellent color, with the groups of Epidote that have formed on many of the crystals of Quartz amethyst. The really amazing things are the inclusions within the crystals that include a first generation of intensely red amethyst and small crystals of really strange forms of black Hematite.
The specimen has been published in the book 'China', by Berthold Ottens, on page 513
