A rarity. Groups of lustrous, isolated and arborescent Pyrite crystals that have grown on a Calcite scalenohedron formed by polycrystalline growths clearly developed at the top of the crystal. They are lustrous and snow-white in color, giving a beautiful color contrast with the Pyrite. A very unusual habit for the deposit.

They are very well defined, bright and on a Dolomite matrix and with lenticular Calcite crystals. While well known and relatively common at Trepča, Pyrite is not easily found there as significant collectible samples and less so with such quality as this.

Group of cubic crystals of Pyrite, very shiny, with deep golden reflections, with marked striations on the faces and intergrown in a matrix formed by a crystalline mass of Sphalerite that forms crystals at the ends of the specimen. Adorned with flattened lenticular crystals of Calcite and water-clear crystals of Quartz at the base, providing a beautiful color contrast. The Trepča mining complex is one of the largest polymetallic deposits in the world and for many years has provided collectors with exceptional pieces of Sphalerite, as well as various combinations of sulfides and carbonates as shown in this specimen, from the ex-Ferat Voca collection.

Two generations of Pyrite crystals, an older generation of shiny crystals of cubic habit, one of them clearly dominant in the center, with marked curvatures on the edges and polycrystalline growths, and that has been partly covered by a tapestry of Calcite crystals with a fine outer layer of bluish tones. The second generation of Pyrite crystals has a much more vivid color and golden reflections, deposited on the limestone, with the crystals being smaller than those of the first generation. The Trepča mining complex is one of the largest polymetallic deposits in the world and for many years produced exceptional specimens of Sphalerite as well as various combinations of sulphides and carbonates, as shown in this specimen from the former collection of Ferat Voca.
