A novelty at Munich 2016. Isolated spherical Malachite aggregates implanted on a rocky matrix partially coated by Chrysocolla with a very pale green color.
The specimen has been reviewed, photographed and published as a new discovery in the magazine ‘Mineral Up’ on page 56 of the 2016/02 edition

Acicular prismatic crystals of Malachite on a matrix of crystallized Dolomite. The color and the fact that this kind of Malachite is practically unknown in Touissit made us think it was Olivenite. A further analysis confirmed the crystals as Malachite.

Groups of primary Malachite crystals. They have simple and very well defined forms and are very bright. The groups are in matrix with small crystals of Quartz. It is from an old find, never repeated later, in spite of the fact that the locality has been repeatedly revisited in recent years.

A Spanish novelty. In a vug mainly formed by altered Chalcopyrite and Quartz are disposed groups of fibrous Malachite with a brilliant velvet aspect that contrasts with the matrix. Excellent miniature.
