Fluorapatite on Prehnite.
MV29AG3: Fluorapatite on Prehnite
A novelty at Munich 2017. Elongated Fluorapatite crystal, translucent with a very bright upper pinacoid and the lower part recrystallized. The crystal has an unusual genesis, being in a micro-crystalline Prehnite nodule. Another aspect to note, it closely remains a Tourmaline because it is polychromic, mainly pink and with a green termination.
This specimen was photographed for the ‘Munich 2017’ section of the magazine ‘Mineralien Welt’ and appears on page 71 of number 1/2018, and for the magazine ‘Mineralogical Record’ on page 335 in the volume 49, number 2

Fluorapatite on Quartz and with Muscovite.
JFD49AN8: Fluorapatite on Quartz and with Muscovite
'Apatite' is the iconic Panasqueira mineral, known worldwide. The diversity of habits and colors and the multiple parageneses in which the Fluorapatites of this mine appear give it recognition and fame. Obviously this is not among the best fluorapatites found there, but its luster, its color, not very common in Panasqueira, and the sharp definition of its faces make us recognize the signature of this great mine.

Druse of Fluorapatite crystals, some of them doubly terminated, between transparent and translucent, with very bright luster, deep green color, and with the well-known dark inclusions known in Portuguese as "olho de boi" (bull's eye).
