TE86L1: Doubly terminated Elbaite (variety rubellite)
Doubly terminated Elbaite crystal, with different terminations. One of them with a single pinacoidal face and the other a little bit more complex with the pinacoid and six uneven faces from a pair of trigonal pyramids. Translucent and excellent and intense pink color with greenish tones at both terminations.

AH92P1: Elbaite (variedad rubellite) with doubly terminated Quartz
Very well defined Elbaite (Rubellite) crystal, not thick, with good uniform color, transparency and luster. The crystal grew implanted on a doubly terminated curious crystal of Quartz. The upper termination of the Elbaite crystal is recrystallized and the termination below is broken.

Magnificent color. Crystal is multiple prism but terminal faces, being complex, are less definite and bright. Note the esthetic position on the matrix of Mica and Quartz. Among the best samples from this locality.

We will send the specimen, which comes from the Robert J. Noble collection, in its original Perky box from that collection, which also contains the label, which shows that it was previously in the Bob Sullivan collection.

Crystal of Elbaite with a prismatic habit, with simple shapes on the prism and excellent terminations with two rhombohedral forms. Between translucent and transparent, with very good luster and vivid color (rubellite variety), more intense on the terminations, and with small white crystallizations of Albite at the base of the tourmaline crystal. The specimen comes from the collection of Miguel David Martínez (number 872), whose label we will send to the buyer.

A large prismatic crystal, very gemmy, and with a good mix of especially attractive red tones that show very noticeable zoning. The very sharp rhombohedral faces of the tip show intense brilliance and are especially gemmy. The base is recrystallized. Really esthetic.

Single crystal with very well defined faces and edges, with a finely striated prism and a terminal pinacoid with small polycrystalline growths. The sample shows an excellent luster and a good transparency, with a clearer geometric color zoning on the terminal area. The rest of the prism has a very intense and uniform color, with the tone popularly well known as “pink bubble-gum”.

Polycrystalline aggregates (“mushroom” shaped) of Elbaite (rubellite) with very well developed curvatures on the faces and edges that confer this curious appearance to the aggregate. The crystals have three very different shades of color: pale pink on the prism faces, of fibrous aspect, and the terminal faces that present two different red tones. The growth of Elbaite is coating a crystal of Schorl as a hood.
