Lattice aggregate of twinned tabular shaped crystals. They are colorless, very bright and transparent, and their morphology, uncommon for Touissit Cerussite, is similar to that of Tsumeb.

The group, on matrix, is of fibrous crystals of snowy-white color and an extraordinary silky luster. This “jackstraw” is a rarity, and it is documented as acquired by Sir Arthur Russell on 1926.

Cerussite after Anglesite with Goethite.
ET99AK7: Cerussite after Anglesite with Goethite
Fans of twinned Cerussite crystals pseudomorphing Anglesite and subsequently coated by iridescent Goethite with a rainbow of colors dominated by yellow. This piece comes from the Mariano Guillén collection and both for the size of the crystals and the intensity of color represents just about the best known for this locality, which in fact is the only one that yields these curious formations.

Cyclic twins of very sharp, transparent, colorless, lustrous crystals, in a very unusual matrix formed of fine stalactitic growths of Quartz microcrystals with inclusions of Goethite. This extraordinarily aesthetic specimen is a rarity since it comes from a unique find in 2003 and has not been found since.

Good quality Cerussits, not so long ago, were relatively common from Touissit and Mibladen, two of the biggest classic localities in Morocco. Samples from Taouz are much more difficult to find. This one is a group of twinned Cerussite crystals with a silky aspect and excellent development on matrix.

Cerussite with Anglesite.
MA47H1: Cerussite with Anglesite
White microcrystals of Cerussite are covering tabular crystals of Anglesite. We suspected that the white coverage was Hydrocerussite, so we analyzed it and the results confirmed it as Cerussite. A curiosity from Tsumeb.

Twinned (cyclic twin) dipyramidal crystals of Cerussite. They are bright, have an intense yellow color and are on matrix with aggregates of pinkish crystals of Baryte and with Galena. A Moroccan classic.

An unusual association. Parallel growths of Cerussite crystals with a prismatic shape, a color that varies between different grades of yellowish color and that are partially coated by small acicular Crocoite crystals. Traditionally such Cerussite is well known as “chrome-cerussite” but recent analyses demonstrate that it’s a regular Cerussite. An uncommon sample, very esthetic.
