The intensity of color and the brightness of the crystals are simply superb. They are translucent and very sharp with very well defined faces and edges and are partially coated by small crystals of white Baryte. A little gem.

Azurite with Bayldonite and Malachite.
MD16X1: Azurite with Bayldonite and Malachite
Single Azurite crystal on a matrix with small globular growths of Bayldonite. The crystal is translucent, has a very deep color and the vivid blue sparkles characteristic of the first Azurite finds at Tsumeb. The termination is partially and superficially replaced by Malachite.

Azurite with Brochantite.

Very sharp flattened single translucent Azurite crystal with very well defined faces and edges, very bright with an extraordinary deep blue (electric blue) color typical of the best samples from Milpillas. The crystal is implanted on a rock matrix coated by acicular Brochantite crystals, rarely associated with Azurite.

TE87X8: Azurite with Calcite
Rosette aggregates of flattened Azurite crystals. They are bright, with deep blue color and vivid metallic blue transparency. They have small white Calcite crystals spread on their surface. It is a good size in comparison with the usual rosettes from this mine.

Elongated Azurite crystals that are very individualized, translucent, with a very vivid color and on matrix with Quartz crystals and a large slightly altered Calcite crystal. The sample is from a very recent find at the Llamas quarry where Azurite was previously detected but of such quality.

It is really difficult to obtain a specimen of Azurite from this locality, especially one of excellent quality. The parallel group of prismatic crystals partially doubly terminated is outstanding. Several Cerussite crystals are on the matrix as well as some on the Azurite. A classic. It comes with two old labels.

A novelty at Tucson 2015. Aggregate of very sharp Azurite crystals with a thick tabular shape called “chewing gum” due their particular profile. The crystals are transparent, very bright and have the extraordinary deep blue color (“electric blue”) typical of the best samples from Milpillas. Azurite is implanted on white Dickite coating a rocky matrix.
This specimen has been photographed and published as a novelty at the 2015 Tucson Show in the magazine "Lapis" number 03/2015, page 28
