Small but very well defined, bright and translucent crystals with a tan-honey color. They are on a matrix of massive Sphalerite with the lenticular Siderite crystals so characteristic of the locality.

Sphalerite crystals with well defined faces and edges, some of them with curvatures, with good honey color. Most are peppered by small Pyrite crystals. On a matrix with Siderite and Pyrite crystals. This mine closed a long time ago, and it is now flooded and collapsed, so it is quite impossible to obtain specimens there.

Complex crystals of caramel-colored Sphalerite, with very sharp crystal forms, more isolated than usual in pieces from this locality, transparent, with good luster and an intense color, on matrix, with white Dolomite and brown rhombohedral Siderite crystals. The mine has been closed for years and half flooded, making it almost impossible to obtain new specimens.

Sphalerite with Siderite, Muscovite and Quartz.
EY28AK1: Sphalerite with Siderite, Muscovite and Quartz
Parallel growths of complex Sphalerite crystals, very bright, with fine striated edges, white lenticular crystals of Siderite, spheroidal aggregates of laminar crystals of Muscovite and hyaline crystals of Quartz. Although Sphalerite is not a rare species in this mine it rarely occurs in such well-formed crystals. The specimen comes from a recent find in the upper levels of Panasqueira.

SV220TAE: Sphalerite with Siderite, Quartz and Galena
Druse formed by complex twinned crystals of Sphalerite, isolated, deep black, lustrous and with perfectly defined faces and edges with marked striations on one of the crystal faces and some dissolution figures. Associated with crystals of Quartz and globular coatings of cream-colored Siderite crystals, giving a very nice color contrast to the specimen. Finally, small Galena crystals complete the combo. The Trepča mining complex is one of the largest polymetallic deposits in the world and for many years yielded, and still yields, exceptional pieces of Sphalerite, as well as varied combinations of sulfides and carbonates, as shown by this specimen, from the Ferat Voca collection.

Polycrystalline growth of Sphalerite, on matrix, very sharp, translucent, lustrous and honey-colored. With very sharp and shiny tetrahedral crystals of Tennantite (variety binnite, rich in silver), typical of this locality.

Druse formed by complex twinned crystals of lustrous deep black Sphalerite with perfectly defined faces and edges, with marked striations on some of the crystal faces and some dissolution figures. These are associated with groups of complex and scattered twinned crystals of Arsenopyrite with a metallic grey color, as well as Quartz crystals. Finally, a globular growth formed by a multitude of slightly pinkish white Dolomite crystals adorn the piece with their color contrast. The Trepča mining complex is one of the largest polymetallic deposits in the world and for many years produced exceptional specimens, and still now, of Sphalerite as well as various combinations of sulphides and carbonates, as shown by this specimen from the former Ferat Voca collection.

Partially covered by a multitude of whitish Calcite crystals in rosette-like aggregates with strong color contrast. The Trepča mining complex is one of the largest polymetallic deposits in the world and for many years it has provided exceptional Sphalerites as well as varied combinations of sulphides and carbonates as shown in this specimen from the former collection of Ferat Voca.

On a druse formed by Quartz crystals sit several Sphalerite crystals, two of them clearly dominant, twinned, translucent and lustrous, with the toasted honey color offering a beautiful color contrast with the matrix. Comes from a classic epithermal deposit in the Slovenian Neogene volcanic field. This specimen comes from the former collection (duplicates) of Carles Curto (number 1966.28), whose label we will send to the buyer.
