Sphalerite crystals more individualized than usual for the locality. They have a very well defined tetrahedral habit and are twinned, translucent and very bright, being implanted on a matrix coated by Quartz with small white crystals of Dolomite and yellow crystals of Calcite. A USA classic.

DC96H1: Sphalerite with Quartz and Galena
The crystal has excellent color and transparency and clearly shows the formation of the Spinel twin, which is defined by the numerous entrant angles. Its centered position on the matrix of Quartz crystals, with darker zones of Galena, is especially esthetic.

Sphalerite crystals, one of them clearly dominant, in which the forms of the tetrahedron and the polysynthetic twinning typical of this species predominate. On matrix, with fine, very lustrous, water-clear Quartz crystals and small groups of brown rhombohedral Siderite crystals. Very fine and elegant piece.

A novelty at Sainte Marie 2022 Group of sharp twinned Sphalerite crystals with very well defined faces and edges, between translucent and transparent, with good luster and an intense reddish orange. On matrix, with cubo-octahedral crystals of Galena and white Calcite crystals.

FE16G6: Sphalerite with Quartz, Fluorite and Chalcopyrite
A wall of Quartz crystals with some curious and recrystallized tips giving shelter to rounded Sphalerite. Jan Buma, on his record card, gives the mineral as Stannite. We had doubts, so we analyzed them and the result was they really are Sphalerite. We also emphasize the cubic crystals of Fluorite on the piece - nearly uncolored but with little brush-strokes of intense blue.

Druse of twinned Sphalerite crystals with very well defined faces and edges, on matrix, with small Quartz and Galena crystals and small Chalcopyrite twins. An American classic from a locality from which it is currently very difficult to get specimens.

MV29AG9: Sphalerite with Quartz, Pyrite and Galena
Very sharp and twinned Sphalerite crystals with very well defined faces and edges. They are very bright and are on matrix with small Quartz and Pyrite crystals, and colorless very clear Fluorite crystals. The shape of this Sphalerite is quite different than other Sphalerites from this mine.

ME27AE4: Sphalerite with Rhodochrosite and plumosite
Aggregate of very sharp Sphalerite (marmatite variety) crystals with a very well defined spinel law twin. They have an intense black color and are very bright and partially coated by botryoidal Rhodochrosite with a mossy Boulangerite/Jamesonite (plumosite variety) aggregate. The sample is from a relatively recent find in Trepča.
