Druse formed by complex twinned crystals of Sphalerite, isolated, deep black, lustrous and with perfectly defined faces and edges with marked striations on one of the crystal faces and some dissolution figures. Associated with crystals of Quartz and globular coatings of cream-colored Siderite crystals, giving a very nice color contrast to the specimen. Finally, small Galena crystals complete the combo.
The Trepča mining complex is one of the largest polymetallic deposits in the world and for many years yielded, and still yields, exceptional pieces of Sphalerite, as well as varied combinations of sulfides and carbonates, as shown by this specimen, from the Ferat Voca collection.
