Rhodochrosite with Sphalerite, Chalcopyrite and Quartz.
SV2280TBF: Rhodochrosite with Sphalerite, Chalcopyrite and Quartz
Aesthetic specimen that combines several mineral species, the main one being a multitude of Rhodochrosite crystals -from the type locality for the species- lustrous and uniformly pink in color, exhibiting distinct morphologies in globular aggregates, stalactitic, and covering Baryte crystals. The Rhodochrosite crystals are adorned with sprinkled Chalcopyrite crystals, small but very sharp, and iridescent with a predominance of gold and greenish tones, associated with twinned crystals of lustrous black Sphalerite providing a good color contrast and, finally, Quartz crystals give the final touch to the specimen. From a classic mining district of eastern Europe. The specimen comes to us via the collection of Ilia Deleff, a collector of Bulgarian origin and resident in France, who actively contributed to the exhibition of giant crystals that was held in the Museum of Natural History in Paris.

Rhodochrosite, Quartz.
23TBP14: Rhodochrosite, Quartz
Spheroidal growths of Rhodochrosite, some of them clearly dominant, of an intense and uniform pink color, with water-clear and very lustrous crystals of Quartz and aggregates of Sphalerite microcrystals. From an active mine that exploits lead, copper, zinc and silver. Curiously, in this same mine and time period, similar specimens were found, but paler in color, that turned out to be manganese-bearing calcites, while analysis showed these more intensely colored specimens to be authentic rhodochrosites. We will send a copy of this new analysis to the buyer.

Rhodochrosite, Quartz, Calcite and Calcite with Boulangerite inclusions.
19TJM56: Rhodochrosite, Quartz, Calcite and Calcite with Boulangerite inclusions
Aerial aggregate formed by a multitude of cream-colored Rhodochrosite crystals covering in part a matrix of limestone rock and in part covering what seem to be crystals of Calcite, similar to the other whitish-greyish crystals of Calcite with a darker band corresponding to inclusions of Boulangerite, an antimony-lead sulphide very characteristic of this deposit. The Trepča mining complex is one of the largest polymetallic deposits in the world and for many years has yielded exceptional pieces of Sphalerite as well as varied combinations of sulphides and carbonates as shown in this specimen from the former collection of Ferat Voca.
Stan Trg (Stari Trg) Mine, Trepča Complex, Trepča Valley, Kosovska Mitrovica, Kosovska Mitrovica District  Kosovo (2000-2021)

Rhodochrosite, Quartz, Pyrite.
20CAF06: Rhodochrosite, Quartz, Pyrite
Rhombohedral crystals of Rhodochrosite, one of them clearly dominant, with well defined faces and edges and a uniform pink color, are dotted with small but shiny golden Pyrite crystals. Small whitish quartz crystals growing on the upper faces of the Rhodochrosite rhombohedra complete the piece. All this on a matrix of massive crystalline Rhodochrosite itself. This type of specimen from this locality is not easy to find on the mineral market. It comes from the former collection (duplicates) of Carles Curto collection (number 1971.39) whose label and computer file we will send to the buyer.
