Quartz with Calcite.
NMP87AO6: Quartz with Calcite
Very elongated individual Quartz crystal, with the characteristic Dauphine habit. Transparent, lustrous, with inclusions and very aerial and complex Calcite crystals with selective color zoning, implanted between the prism and the terminations of the Quartz. The specimen comes from the Santiago Jiménez collection, basically dedicated to Spanish localities but with good specimens from other countries too.

Quartz with Calcite.
JFD196AP3: Quartz with Calcite
Its form is a luxury. The Quartz crystal is long and has a deep twist enabling us to imagine it as a very showy arch, even more so for being on a kind of natural base, also formed of Quartz. Of all the Alpine finds in the Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne area, this one stands out for its attractive deformity.
Le Noirey, Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne, Savoie, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes  France (1980)

Quartz with Calcite and Dolomite.
TC220MF: Quartz with Calcite and Dolomite
Parallel growths of Quartz crystals with dipyramidal habit and scepter terminations. Some of the crystals apparently lack prism faces, which has sometimes led to the erroneous belief that they are β-Quartz. The crystals, rich in inclusions, are partially covered by small white Calcite-Dolomite crystals.

Quartz with Chalcopyrite.
JFD39AN7: Quartz with Chalcopyrite
Laguépie is an interesting French locality where a quarry exploits leptynites (microgneiss) and where local field collectors often find interesting things. A good example is this elegant piece in which we can see different generations of Quartz of different colors that cover spheres of what has been called “spherosiderites” and it is true that fibrous structures can be seen inside the spheres, compatible with carbonates. Also inside the Quartz crystals there are inclusions of what appears to be Chalcopyrite. A very fine piece and different from those usually seen.
