Spheroidal crystalline growth of Fluorite with fine radial striations and curious deformations, very unusual in this type of specimen. The Fluorite, translucent and with yellow tones, has grown on a matrix of Quartz crystals (amethyst variety), with growths of white microcrystalline Quartz.
This unusual piece comes from the Philippe Morelon collection (No. 374), whose label we will send to the buyer.

Group of Fluorite crystals, beveled by the dodecahedron, transparent, lustrous and practically water-clear, contrasting with the coatings of hematoidal Quartz crystals in the matrix. This specimen has unusual characteristics for La Viesca Fluorite, and comes from the collection of Miguel David Martínez (number 865), whose label we will send to the buyer.

They are between transparent and translucent, have a very deep green color with violet zones in some areas of each crystal and with inclusions that resemble eyes, the reason why this Fluorite is called “alien.” On matrix, with Quartz crystals.

The Fluorite is translucent, with a clear blue color with a very well marked change of shade on the cube faces that are deep violet. The dodecahedral faces have echeloned polycrystalline growths.

Very sharp Fluorite crystal cubes. They are transparent and colorless but with deeply violet colored areas mainly concentrated on the edges. The Fluorite has grown on a doubly terminated and complete Quartz crystal. A picture of this sample has been published in the article “Vale das Gatas Mining District” in Mineral Up magazine (2017/1, pg. 35), and it is from the collection of Pedro Alves, the article’s author, whose samples have been used to illustrate it.
