Fluorite with Chalcopyrite.
NF76T0: Fluorite with Chalcopyrite
Group of cubic crystals beveled by the dodecahedron. They are transparent, have deep violet color, geometrical color zoning and very small crystals of Chalcopyrite spread on their faces. The sample is from material compiled for years by Fernando Brugos, former owner of the La Viesca claim. This material has been accurately documented, regarding the different pockets as well as the dates of the finds.

ND86T0: Fluorite with Chalcopyrite
Very aerial group of cubic crystals beveled by the faces of the dodecahedron. They are transparent, of deep violet color and have geometrical color zoning. On matrix and partially coated by very small crystals of Chalcopyrite. The sample is from material compiled for years by Fernando Brugos, former owner of the La Viesca claim. The locality is very uncommon. On the specimen the small cubic crystals of Fluorite are with very small, but also very bright, crystals of Chalcopyrite.

Very fine and very aerial, with its Chalcopyrite crystal and matrix Quartz. It has a growth defect at the base (left) but it is not a break, since if it were, it would have cleaved into octahedrons. I always liked this piece...

Complex crystals of Fluorite, very rich in faces with predominant forms of the cube, octahedron and dodecahedron. They are extraordinarily transparent and bright with a delicate clear green color. They are on matrix, with Chalcopyrite, Pyrite, Tetrahedrite, Sphalerite and small white lenticular crystals of Calcite.

When the upper levels of Panasqueira were reworked, what had always been an elusive rarity there, the Fluorite, suddenly flourished and provided us with specimens as extraordinary as this one that, as so often happens in the world of minerals, surprises us with its different shape and color, and by the color contrast between the Fluorite and the Chlorite that covers leafy groups of Muscovite crystals which in turn are on top of Ferberite and Siderite crystals.

Complex Fluorite crystals with dominant cube and octahedron shapes. Crystals are transparent and show a color zoning, green in the inner core and slightly violet on the edges. According to the label, the Fluorite is accompanied by Cookeite, although we have not analyzed it.

Different than the Mexican Creedites, Chinese crystals, rare on the market, are absolutely uncolored and perfectly transparent. Prisms have exceptional luster and they grow on radial groups on a matrix of cubic crystals of Fluorite.

Druse of cubic Fluorite crystals with very well-defined edges and very deep yellowish tones, with violet geometric zoning in some of the crystals on the right side of the specimen, accompanied by small Dolomite crystals in beautiful color contrast. Coming from a very classic deposit for Asturian Fluorite, the Moscona mine, although its color is not the most classic of that mine, but has different tones than usual there.
