A novelty at Sainte Marie-aux-Mines 2011. Very aerial group, on a Quartz matrix, of violet cubic crystals, some of them with “window” growths and very well marked color zoning with solid inclusions in the center of each crystal.
This specimen was photographed for the ‘Mineralienbörse Ste.-Marie-aux-Mines 2011’ section of the magazine ‘Mineralien Welt’ and appears on page 12 of number 5/2011

Group of cubic crystals with echeloned bevels. They are very bright, very transparent and have violet blue color with very well defined geometrical color zones. The sample is from material compiled for years by Fernando Brugos, former owner of the La Viesca claim. This material has been accurately documented, regarding the different pockets as well as the dates of the finds.

Transparent cubic crystal with clear sky blue color, echeloned growths on the edges and recrystallized on the back side. The sample resembles, due to its aspect, some of the recent pieces from La Viesca, but it is earlier than the works at this place and it is from La Collada.

A Spanish classic. From the Veneros Norte Mine at La Collada, which is now closed, comes this large crystal (a floater) that is recrystallized on the rear and that has the typical bevelled edges of this mine. A deep violet color, but in fact even more interesting as one can feel the depth of it due to the bluer zone in its center.

Aggregate of transparent cubic crystals beveled by the faces of the dodecahedron. Their color is between violet and blue, with diffuse color zoning. The simple has, on its back, some remains of Calcite that prove the locality is “Filón Josefa-Veneros”, one of the great classics of Spanish mineralogy.
