Crystals of doubly terminated Ferberite are not common from Panasqueira, especially with this one's size and definition. In this case we can add that it is neatly and esthetically placed on a complex crystal of doubly terminated Quartz, which has a coating of Siderite.

Sharp Ferberite standing upright on the strange matrix of Calcite whose crystals have a very unusual form. They look like fine pasta shells and they are covering Chalcopyrite crystals. All together curious, and not bad either.

Its definition and morphological perfection are outstanding, which is not common for this species in Panasqueira, not even in small specimens. The sample has been photographed for a long article in Mineral Up magazine devoted to the mineralogy of Portugal, although we cannot assure that the image will be definitely published.
