The gemstone deposits of the Brazilian pegmatites will never cease to amaze us. This is the case with this specimen, rich in elongated crystals of Elbaite with a considerable variety of terminal forms (many recrystallized), a bright green color and in a Quartz matrix, and with leafy aggregates of a Mica which, according their violet shades, could be 'lepidolite'

Elbaite with Quartz.
TJ68D8: Elbaite with Quartz
Great crystal of twin color Tourmaline (Elbaite) which stands upright on the lightly smoky Quartz. As often happens with pegmatite minerals, the bottom of the Elbaite and Quartz shows a natural fracture that was then healed. So while one cannot call it doubly terminated it is not broken either. Great esthetics.

Classic prismatic crystal from Pederneira, Elbaite, a Na, Li and Al bor-silicate, terminated with three faces of a very acute rhombohedron. Color is very deep and the transparency is excellent. The esthetic equilibrium is due to the coverage of Muscovite on the right side of the sample.
