TT93AL1: Dioptase
A novelty at Tucson 2019. Druze of small elongated Dioptase crystals, with rhombohedral terminations, transparent and with bright luster, on matrix with pale blue shattuckite. Dioptase is a rarity in Milpillas, another surprise like many to which this locality has accustomed us.
The sample has been noted and photographed in the monograph 'The Milpillas Mine' of the ‘Mineralogical Record‘ magazine on page 585 in the volume 52, number 5, September-October 2021 and in the magazine ‘Mineral Up’ on page 42 of the 2020/02 edition.

Small crystals, very bright, formed by the prism and acute rhombohedral terminations. They selectively occupy the surfaces of some of the faces of the white Calcite rhombohedrons on the matrix.

DM49AC8: Dioptase with Plancheite
Aggregate of very well defined Dioptase crystals. They are aerial, translucent, and bright. They have a very deep color and are on a rocky matrix partially coated by fibrous Plancheite aggregates. The crystals have a better luster and color than usual for the locality.

Druse of very lustrous equant crystals of Dioptase, with a very vivid color and with lamellar crystals of Wulfenite with coatings of Pyromorphite microcrystals. The Pyromorphite has been analyzed and the results were a surprise because until now these coatings had been called Cerussite! We will send a copy of the analysis to the buyer.
