This year the show coincided with the very
important 1 November holiday. As you can see in the photos, people celebrated
in the traditional style with decorated doorways and hollowed out pumpkins with
candles inside them. It was the Day of the Dead but the show was very much alive,
with all the dealers setting up their stands...
|
The cold we talked about above is reflected
in these photos of our frozen car in the early hours as well as the trip to the
show during an intense snow flurry. The other shots of the show halls covered
with snow give you an idea of the working conditions. While the photos look great,
these were not great conditions for us to work in.
|
Mementoes of the show: a nice group that
is half feng shui half decoration placed between the stands of the dealers. Shots
of our stand with Julia working hard with a future client. Julia really likes
children, as one can see.

These photos try to reflect the marvelous
things that one could see this year in the exhibition, thanks to the Houston
Museum, one of the very best mineral museums in the world, who showed off some
of their best specimens during Munich 2006.
