Tabular crystal with a well developed very short prism, the pinacoid and a flat pyramid. It is transparent, very bright with a color between green and golden and it’s implanted on a rocky matrix with leafy Muscovite aggregates.

NP4AD9: Fluorapatite with Pyrite, Calcite-Dolomite and Muscovite
Thick tabular Fluorapatite crystal with concentric zonal growths showing color changes. The single crystal is between transparent and translucent, it is very bright and it is implanted on a matrix of small cubic Pyrite crystals with Muscovite and partially coated by white Calcite-Dolomite aggregates.

Aggregate of tabular, translucent and bright crystals with a very well defined color zoning, pale green on the outer area and darker in their interior. They are with small Quartz crystals. At Panasqueira, this kind of Fluorapatite is well known as “olho de boi” (ox eye) and this sample is of very high quality compared with most of the pieces showing this feature.

JR6F2: Fluorapophyllite-(K) with Heulandite-Ca
Tabular crystals are uncommon in Indian Fluorapophyllite-(K). In this case they are also very well defined and aerial, with a very light green tone and a good contrast with the cream-colored Heulandite-Ca.

The crystals of Fluorapophyllite-(K) are tabular, which is not very common in Indian specimens. It is partially included by Chlorite and on a matrix of pink Stilbite.

On a base of Quartz and a first generation of green Fluorite, the collector José Luis Vallecillo was right in his choice of this powerful Fluorite.
