A curious growth of thin parallel chambers of intense green color contrasting with the black slate matrix.

NB58P4: Variscite
A very uniform light green concretion on slate matrix, with hollows and channels showing drusy crystals on their surfaces. The locality is not very well known for this species.

Crystals and spheroidal groups have very intense color and luster. They occupy the vugs on the sample and contrast with the matrix, clearer in some zones and darker in others.
The specimen has been reviewed, photographed and published as a new discovery in the magazine ‘Mineralogical Record’ on page 481 in the volume 37, number 5.

Variscite on Albite.
TY68H6: Variscite on Albite
Huge specimen with distinct Variscite crystals as well as spheroidal groups with very intense color and luster. They occupy vugs on the sample and contrast with the matrix, clearer in some zones and darker in others. The color of the spherules is less intense than in the other samples but they are bigger and strongly contrast with the cream-colored Albite matrix.

Microcrystals with very intense color and luster. They occupy the vugs and fissures on the sample, co-existing with purplish Strengite and contrasting with the matrix, clearer in some zones and darker in others.

Spheroidal aggregates of microcrystals and impregnations of pink Variscite, an unusual color for the species, filling the vugs and fissures on the matrix with Strengite, distinguishable by its bluish color. Both the Variscite and the Strengite have been analyzed and we’ll send a copy of the analysis to the buyer.
