9JR16: Doubly terminated Topaz (repaired)
Topaz crystals, one of them clearly dominant, doubly terminated, of excellent luster and very transparent, with remnants of rhyolitic rock matrix. The smallest crystals are very rich in crystal faces as can be seen in the close-up photo. The piece is repaired on the left side of the main crystal, being a fracture perpendicular to the axis of the prism, but it does'nt affect to the beauty of the specimen as a whole. The sample is from the James Catmur collection (number B667) whose label we’ll send to the buyer.

Topaz crystals with very well defined faces and edges, between transparent and translucent, with very well defined faces and edges, a slightly bluish color and with very sharp and bright Arsenopyrite crystals, small Fluorite crystals, leafy Muscovite aggregates and partially coated by Chlorite. The upper levels of Panasqueira are currently offering surprising and pleasant novelties, with samples that are very different from what has been known from this mine.
