SG38AF0: Siderite (variety sphärosiderite) with Baryte
Botryoidal Siderite traditionally well known as sphaerosiderite, on a rocky matrix with bluish and very bright, laminar Baryte crystals.
The sample is from the Francesco S. Stoppani collection (catalog number 0635), whose label we’ll send to the buyer. As is the case with so many specimens in this collection, the sample is of great quality for the locality.

TR89AF6: Siderite after Calcite with Pyrite
Druse of very well defined rhombohedral Siderite crystals which are cast pseudomorphs after Calcite. During the process of the substitution, wall-like external shells were left behind. The siderite casts are on matrix, with small Pyrite crystals.
The sample is from the Vallecillo collection, Madrid.

MF14AH7: Siderite with Fluorapatite
Floater rhombohedral Siderite crystal with apparent foliations that really are recrystallizations. Its honey color and the transparency are not usual for Siderite from this mine, generally it is more opaque. There is an associated growth of uncommon doubly terminated Fluorapatite crystals, between translucent and transparent, bright and white in color. These unexpected Fluorapatite crystals have been analyzed and we will send a copy of the analysis to the buyer.

Powerful group of Quartz crystals displaying a dipyramidal habit, as the prism is mostly absent, covered by an epigenetic growth of small Siderite crystals. The size of the Quartz crystals and the quality of the piece is much higher than what is usually found in this deposit.
The specimen comes from the Miguel David Martínez collection, whose label we will send to the buyer along with a small poster that certifies that this specimen was displayed in the “Minerals of the Mediterranian 2014” exhibition at the 2014 Expominer Show.

NY13AB1: Siderite with Quartz and Arsenopyrite
Aggregate of prismatic Siderite crystals with pinacoidal terminations. They have a very uniform dark brown color and silky luster due to microcrystalline surfaces on the prisms. The Siderite is with a small matrix of Quartz and Arsenopyrite and has cubic Pyrite microcrystals on its faces. Unlike most Panasqueira Siderite, this sample lacks the typically dull creamy second generation, which makes it very showy.

SV2150TBY: Siderite with Quartz and Chalcopyrite
Aesthetic specimen formed by sharp lenticular crystals of zoned brown Siderite, randomly arranged on a rock matrix totally carpeted by snow-white Quartz crystals offering a nice contrast of colors. Several brightly colored Chalcopyrite crystals, golden and very shiny, adorn the piece. The specimen comes from the former collection of Robert-Auguste Touchon and, most surprisingly, was found in the area of some coal mines, west of La Mure, which were closed in 1997.
