Fan-shaped aggregates of bright, light green Prehnite crystals forming globular groups implanted on an ophitic rock matrix. From a classic Spanish mineral deposit very close to the well-known sulphur mines of Conil de la Frontera, in Cádiz, where ophitic bodies outcrop between Triassic sedimentary rocks, specifically in the Keuper facies. A specimen difficult to find nowadays on the commercial mineral circuit.

Perimorphic growth of Prehnite crystals with defined crystal forms, translucent and of a vivid and uniform green color. The Prehnite maintains the outline of the Anhydrite crystal on which it was formed, which later disappeared.

Prehnite crystals with very well defined faces and edges, with curvatures and very marked polycrystalline growths, translucent, lustrous, and with an intense green color. The Prehnite is on matrix, with prismatic Epidote crystals and felty Actinolite aggregates (byssolite variety). A French classic from one of the typical localities for the species.

XM2160EPM: Prehnite with Quartz
