Very well defined Elbaite, very transparent, with extraordinary colors ranging from a lively red to intense pink from the middle to the upper perfect terminal faces. The specimen which by its aspect does not seem, at first glance, from Pala, is accompanied by a handwritten note from Sr. Folch where one can read that it was collected in Pala (California) by Sr. Folch in person, in 1974, so we give credence to the locality.
