A very curious specimen that shows two generations of Calcite: the first, constituting the matrix, formed by a druse of small lustrous scalenohedral crystals stained by iron oxides, and a second generation of globular to oolitic habit with fine concentric growth lamellae. A mineralogical curiosity.

Calcite crystals, on matrix, in which the forms of a prism and the terminal rhombohedron predominate. The crystals are translucent to transparent, lustrous, and have a uniform yellow color and very visible scalenohedral phantom growths inside. Of excellent quality for the deposit. This specimen was exhibited in the exhibition ¨Les Malines et les mines des Cévennes”, at the Musée Cévenol, in Vigan, Gard, in 2014, and comes from the collection of Alain Martaud, whose label we will send to the buyer.

A Spanish classic, very difficult to find nowadays and which comes from the collection of Andrés Jiménez Shelly and was previously in Santiago Jiménez García's.

A scalenohedral Calcite crystal partially doubly terminated, with polycrystalline growths at its base. It is very sharp and large, between translucent and transparent and has a very intense, deep uniform color. A great French classic.

Matrix group of complex equant Calcite crystals, with very sharp scalenohedron and flattened rhombohedron forms, very aerial, translucent and lustrous. The specimen has a light pink hue, is of high quality and is very different from what is generally known from this locality, since it comes from the first very superficial prospecting in an area relatively far from the current workings. As an added documentary detail, the name of the person who found it, a miner named Lucien Schaguene, has been preserved. Exceptional for the locality.

Druse of complex Calcite crystals with dominant scalenohedron faces, transparent, shiny, and with reddish inclusions of Hematite. A great English classic, really old and with an unusual pedigree, with two labels that detail much of its history.
It came from the collection of Francis Butler, who in 1890 sold it to the British Museum in London, which gave it the collection number BM65723, after which it passed on to the Leif Engman collection.

An excellent English classic, both for the morphology and for the deposit. The specimen is accompanied by a very old label from the Comptoir Central d'Histoire Naturelle, a business founded by the naturalist Nerée Boubée (1806-1862) in Paris, and has several collection numbers and an old label with the number 325 glued to its back.
