About eight years ago, my professional life and friendships were all centered
in the world of health care, as I am a medical doctor. In 1998 I met a person
, Jordi Fabre, whose life and friendships were centered in a world that was totally
unknown to me, that of 'minerals for collectors'
Having
seen that respect that he had in dealing with both dealers and clients, I felt
that I had met someone with whom it would be worthwhile sharing my life.
So, these years together have allowed me to get to know the world of mineral collecting.
I have had the chance to see unique and fantastic specimens, and I have been able
to help him with his work: during shows, packing specimens, and even taking some
photos.
Over
the last ten years the web business has steadily improved thanks to the help of
a various people, but above all due to Jordi's efforts. He saw, right from
the start, that the Internet could be a great way of making specimens, which otherwise
they would never have had the chance to enjoy, available to every collector.
